Masterminds Review by Kate M.

Review: Masterminds
by Kate M., age 11

Eli lives in Serenity, an idyllic town where the principles of peace and honesty are valued more than anything else. Or at least that’s what Eli thinks until he and his best friend Randy bike outside the town’s boundaries, something that the kids of Serenity are not permitted to do. Then the unexpected happens. Eli collapses with a terrible headache, wakes up in a hospital, and finds that Randy and his family have mysteriously left town. I want to tell you more, but I might spoil the adventure.

Each chapter of the story is told from the perspective of one of the main characters and weaved together to offer lots of twists and edge-of-your-seat excitement! After reading this amazing book and the first two books of The Hypnotists, Gordan Korman is now one of my favorite authors! I love how he can write a fast-paced story that you never want to put down! If you are 11 or older and love mystery, adventure, and sci-fi, you will love Masterminds!
