Drawing in Scratch by Kate M.
As we mentioned in our last post, Kate M., age 11, started a Programming in Scratch course on edX this week. Scratch gives young people the ability to code unique stories, games and animations and helps them learn to think creatively, reason systematically, and work collaboratively. This edX course is a great starting point if you’ve never tried Scratch. Scratch is available free of charge to users at http://scratch.mit.edu/.
Here’s quick video introduction about the free online course:
The second part of this week’s lesson taught students how to draw in scratch. For their second project students had to make a drawing.

It is not too late to join the online course. If you do, we would love to share your creations here on First Draft Café.
